Good news for anyone looking to incorporate sustainability into their product labelling and packaging.
Our material suppliers have been hard at work, and some impressive sustainable products are now readily available.
We were particularly impressed with the range of compostable papers and films, many of which are now available with certified adhesives. Other options include wash-off adhesives and adhesives designed to separate from the packaging container during the recycling process. When these are combined with packaging made from compatible materials, they can create a complete packaging solution that fits more effectively into home recycling streams.
This gives eco-conscious consumers greater choice and reassurance, particularly those looking to reduce plastic content and improve the recyclability of the packaging of the products they purchase.
Promising new technologies such as clean flake processes are emerging whilst recycling methods are becoming more versatile – this now allows the separation of filmic label and PET container materials. All these developments are pointing in the right direction.
